Benidorm is located in an exceptional setting on the Mediterranean
coast that allows you to enjoy dependable pleasant weather all year round with an
average
temperature of 16.7ºC.
This ideal temperature allows you to take part in outdoor activities such as golf, hiking or cycling
routes throughout Benidorm and the surrounding area.
Benidorm’s beaches
We have 2 beaches in Benidorm separated by the historic town centre.
Playa de Levante (Llevant)
To the north, a few metres from Levante Apartments, is Benidorm’s famous Playa de
Levante. It is 2 kilometres long and has the
blue flag sign of quality.
Very well known for its seafront as it appears in most photos taken by tourists
who visit Benidorm for their holidays.
Playa de Poniente (Ponent)
To the south between the Calas de Mal Pas bays and the Cala de Finestrat bay is
Benidorm’s Playa de Poniente which is more than 3 kilometres long. Its seafront
was renovated in 2009 with an innovative image, used as an international standard.
You can see that
just like Playa de Levante, Playa de Poniente also has the
blue flag.
Benidorm’s bays
Cala del Tio Ximo bay and Cala Almadrava bay
These 2 bays are located at the foot of the Serra Gelada nature park, a few metres
from Levante Apartments. Relax on these hidden peaceful bays.
Cala del Mal Pas bay
This small bay, scarcely 120 metres in length, is hidden just below Benidorm's mirador,
hidden behind the port. It is called "Mal pas" in Valencian which translates in
Castilian as Mal Paso (Bad Step) due to its sheer drop, in case you take a wrong
step on the way down. It used to be the shortest way to get to the port without
taking a “long” detour.
